V. Fahlbusch 1995Relativ großwüchsige Gattung der Microchoerinae mit folgende Merkmalscombination: p4 mit einer einzeln Hauptspitze, Rückseite abgeflacht und steil, ohne Metaconid; Trigonid der Molaren durch verkleinerstes Paraconid reduzoert, aber in ursprüngliche Anordnung vorhanden; Talonidbecken der Molaren weit und gleichmäßig gewölbt; alle Backenzähne ohne sekundäre Schmelzfältenung oder Zusatzstructuren. Ramus ascendens relativ flach ansteigend, Winkel zwischen corpus mandibulae und ramus ascendens ca. 135 Grat.
