Hugueneya primitiva

Taxonomy
Proscapanus primitivus was named by Hutchison (1974) [1881 IX 523 (syntype of Talpa Meyeri Schlosser, 1887)]. It is not extant. Its type specimen is BSP 1881 IX 523, a mandible (Mandible dex. in matrix).

It was recombined as Hugueneya primitiva by van den Hoek Ostende (1989).

metaconids, entoconids large and transversely compressed ; ectostylids moderately developed on m1-m2 ; coronoid process about as long as high; humerus proportionately narrower than P.
sansaniensis (LARTET); metacarpal II relatively longer than other species.
