Taxonomy
Pseudocricetodon philippi was named by Hugueney (1971). Its type specimen is FSL 97377, a tooth (m1 inf. dext.), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locus C, Saint Martin de Castillon, excavation in 1970-1971, which is in a MP 24 terrestrial marl/lignite in the Calcaires de Vacheres Formation of France.
