Euomphalopterus alatus limatoidea was named by Kindle (1903) [Kindle & Berger in]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Euomphalus alatus by Archer et al. (1980); it was recombined as Euomphalopterus limatoidea by Wagner (2023).
