It was Tibia (Africoterebellum) by Glibert (1963); it was reranked as Africoterebellum by Savazzi (1991), Sepkoski (2002), Pacaud and Leroy (2006) and Pacaud (2008).

It was assigned to Semiterebellum by Eames (1957); to Tibia by Glibert (1963); to Neotaenioglossa by Sepkoski (2002); to Stromboidea by Savazzi (1991) and Pacaud and Leroy (2006); and to Rostellariidae by Pacaud (2008).
