Dendostrea vespertina

Taxonomy
Ostrea vespertina was named by Conrad (1855) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene-Pliocene; California-Mexico.]. Its type specimen is ANSP 13366, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Ostrea haitensis vespertina by Stewart (1930); it was recombined as Dendostrea vespertina by Moore (1987) and Powell (2008).
