Marginella roscida was named by Redfield (1860) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Pliocene-Recent; Virginia-Florida.]. It is extant.

It was recombined as Prunum roscidum by Richards (1962), Spencer and Campbell (1987) and Hendy et al. (2008).

Synonyms
  • Marginella eulima was named by Dall (1892) [DISTRIBUTION: Pleistocene; Florida.]. It is not a trace fossil.

    It was recombined as Marginella (Leptegonana) eulima by DuBar (1958); it was synonymized subjectively with Prunum roscidum by Hendy et al. (2008).
