Lirophora (Lirophora) ceramota

Taxonomy
Chione (Lirophora) ceramota was named by Gardner (1947) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Miocene; Florida.]. Its type specimen is USNM 351924, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is USGS Loc. 3732 - Dave Adams Mill Creek [Shoal River Fm], which is in a Serravallian marine marl/sandstone in the Shoal River Formation of Florida.

It was recombined as Lirophora (Lirophora) ceramota by Hendy et al. (2008).
