Taxonomy
Schizogalerix evae was named by de Bruijn et al. (2006). It is not extant. Its type specimen is NHMEU SB-2401, a tooth (M1 sup. sin.). Its type locality is Sabuncubeli, which is in a MN 3 terrestrial conglomerate/marl in the Soma Formation of Turkey.

H. de Bruijn et al. 2006Large species of Schizogalerix. The mesostyle is hardly divided; the posterior cingulum on the lower molars remains low. The m3 is little reduced. The protoconule is well developed on the P4, and M1. The first upper molar has a well-developed labial cingulum.
