Strigilla georgiana

Taxonomy
Strigilla georgiana was named by Gardner (1947) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Miocene; Florida.]. Its type specimen is USNM 353919, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is USGS Loc. 7148 - Gastopod Gulch [Oak Grove Sand], which is in a Burdigalian marine sandstone in the Oak Grove Formation of Georgia.
