Galerix kostakii
Taxonomy
Galerix kostakii was named by Doukas and van den Hoek Ostende (2006). It is not extant. Its type specimen is AMPG KRD3/04, a tooth (M1 sup. sin). Its type locality is Karyidia, which is in a MN 4 terrestrial horizon in Greece.

C. Doukas and L.W. van den Hoek Ostende 2006 | Medium-sized species of Galerix (m2 = 2.54). P3 with hypocone. Protocone-metaconule connection absent in M1, rare in M2. The metaconule of the first two upper molars connects with the buccal part of the posterior cingulum. The metaconid on the p4 usually well developed, the paralophid is rarely connected to the tip of the protoconid. |
