Natica (Stigmaulax) verrugosum was named by Cossmann (1924) [DISTRIBUTION: Middle Miocene-Early Pliocene; Dominican Republic, Jamaica.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Stigmaulax vererugosum by Woodring (1928) and Hendy et al. (2008).
