Taxonomy
Conus multistriatus was named by Olsson (1922) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene-Pliocene; Peru, Mexico.]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was corrected as Conus multiliratus by Böse (1906), Mansfield (1925), Woodring (1970), Hoerle (1976), Perrilliat (1987) and Hendy et al. (2008); it was recombined as Conus (Leptoconus) multiliratus by Woodring (1928), Olsson (1932), Oinomikado (1939) and Marks (1951); it was recombined as Conasprelloides multiliratus by Tucker and Tenorio (2009).
