It was reranked as Platycolpus by Cotton and Godfrey (1931); it was synonymized subjectively with Torcula by Thiele (1931) and Wenz (1939).

It was assigned to Turritellidae by Cotton and Godfrey (1931); and to Colpospira by Donald (1900) and Allmon (1996).
