Taxonomy
Macrochilina cancellata was named by Lindström (1884). It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Meekospira cancellata by Ulrich and Scofield (1897); it was misspelled as Machrochilina cancellata by Manten (1971); it was recombined as Decorochilina cancellata by Wagner (2023).

Synonyms
  • Macrochilina rara was named by Perner (1903) [Macrochilina rara Barrande in Perner 1903]. It is not extant. Its type locality is Bubovice, which is in a Ludfordian carbonate limestone in the Kopanina Formation of the Czech Republic.

    It was synonymized subjectively with Decorochilina cancellata by Wagner (2023).
