Nymphaster arduennensis

Taxonomy
Goniaster arduennensis was named by Peron (1887). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle, Paris, MHNH R 53997.

It was recombined as Nymphaster arduennensis by Breton (1992) and Jagt et al. (2021).

G. Breton 1992Interbrachial arc rounded. Base of the arms narrow. Superomarginal plates short, wide, high. External face convex, domed. Inferomarginal short, widerthan the superomarginals in the interbrachial arc. External face convex but slightly domed. Ornament of fine, dense granule-pits. Granules polygonal. Pedicellariae-pits along the lateral margin of marginals, look like rounded pits with a tickened outer margin.
