Taxonomy
Terebratula bovidens was named by Morton (1836). It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Beecheria bovidens by Hoare (1961); it was recombined as Dielasma bovidens by White (1874), Dunbar and Condra (1932) and Mudge et al. (1962).
