Kentriodon fuchsii
Taxonomy
Champsodelphis fuchsii was named by Brandt (1873). Its type specimen is NHMW 1859.XXVII.6m, a partial skeleton (several vertebrae, sternum, fragment of scapula, left humerus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nussdorf, which is in a Sarmatian marine claystone in Austria.
It was recombined as Acrodelphis fuchsii by Abel (1900), Palmer (1904) and Pia (1937); it was recombined as Acrodelphis fuchsi by Trouessart (1904); it was recombined as Atocetus fuchsii by Kazár and Venczel (2003) and Kazár et al. (2004); it was recombined as Kentriodon fuchsii by Kazár (2006) and Gol'din et al. (2020).
