Taxonomy
Buhakia moghraensis was named by Morlo et al. (2007). Its type specimen is DPC 8994, a mandible, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Wadi Moghra, which is in a MN 4 marginal marine sandstone in the Moghara Formation of Egypt. It is the type species of Buhakia.
