Brianurus jeffersoni
Taxonomy
Briania jeffersoni was named by Edgecombe (1994) [Figure 2.2]. Its type specimen is UA 9301 (fixigena) and is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is AV1 336, Whittaker Fm., Mackenzie Mts., which is in a Telychian offshore shelf limestone/shale in the Whittaker Formation of Canada. It is the type species of Brianurus, Briania.
It was recombined as Brianurus jeffersoni by Edgecombe and Fortey (1995).
