Taxonomy
Acila (Truncacila) nagaoi was named by Oyama and Mizuno (1958) [Originally named by Mizuno (1956) but without description.]. Its type specimen is GSJ 5019, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Acila nagaoi by Mizuno (1956).
