It was reranked as Docomphala by Sepkoski (2002); it was synonymized subjectively with Vitrinella by Sartori (2015).

It was assigned to Vitrinella by Bartsch (1907) and Oldroyd (1925); and to Neotaenioglossa by Sepkoski (2002).
