O. S. Adegoke 1977 | Small to medium Heligmotoma, with low spire of about three-four whorls which are only slightly elevated above the flattened apical surface. Body whorl large, enclosing much of the spire from which it is separated by a shallow groove in which the growth striae describe shallow sinuses. Apical shoulder of body whorl bounded by variably developed carina which may or may not be noded. Parietal surface bears two unequal, moderate to heavy, oblique ridges. Body whorl conspicuously constricted below the parietal surface. Columella narrow to heavy, bears one oblique plication of variable prominence. Aperture wide, hemispherical. |
