Taxonomy
Leda oregona was named by Shumard (1858) [DISTRIBUTION: Oligocene-Miocene; Oregon.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Nuculana oregona by Meek (1864); it was recombined as Neilo oregona by Conrad (1865); it was recombined as Yoldia (Cnesterium) oregona by Dall (1909); it was recombined as Yoldia (Portlandia) oregona by Etherington (1931) and Weaver (1942); it was recombined as Yoldia oregona by Grant and IV and Gale (1931); it was synonymized subjectively with Yoldia (Kalayoldia) tenuissima by Addicott (1973); it was recombined as Yoldia (Kalayoldia) oregona by Moore (1976), Moore (1983), Coan et al. (2000) and Hendy (2020).
