Panopea zinsmeisteri

Taxonomy
Panopea zinsmeisteri was named by Chiesa and Camacho (2001) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Oligocene; Argentina.]. Its type specimen is CIRGEO-PI 2779, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Río Foyel Fm - Estancia de Troncoso, which is in an Oligocene offshore shale in the Rio Foyel Formation of Argentina.
