It was assigned to Heliacidae by Woodring (1959); to Heliacinae by Frassinetti and Covacevich (1981); to Neotaenioglossa by Sepkoski (2002); and to Architectonicidae by Ladd (1972), Jensen (1996), Todd (2001) and Darragh (2017).
