Diagnosis

D. Pérez et al. 2013Orbicular to subquadrate shell with medium to large size. Posterior margin frequently truncated. Lunule well developed, wide and short. Right valve with posterior tooth simmetrically grooved, and middle tooth asimmetrically grooved. Left valve with middle tooth grooved, posterior tooth wide and long and separated from nymph. Pallial sinus triangular and directed upwards. Inner ventral margin wiht fine crenulations limited by a comarginal groove. External sculpture given by comarginal lines and low lamellae, perpendicular to valve surface. Radial sculpture fine (modified from del Río, 1991).
