Pecten singaporinus was named by Sowerby (1853) [DISTRIBUTION: Pliocene-Recent]. It is extant.

It was recombined as Chlamys (Mimachlamys) singaporinus by Skwarko (1994); it was recombined as Mimachlamys singaporinus by Hendy (2007).
