Geological group:Table Head Formation:Table Cove
Stratigraphy comments: The rocks at Table Cove are mapped as Table Cove Formation by Klappa et al 1980 but as the overlying American Tickle Formation by Stenzel et al 1990. The trilobite fauna in this collection is the same as that found in the upper part of the Table Cove Formation at Table Point, and it is possible that this collection was made from Table Cove clasts deposited in the conglomeratic member of the American Tickle Formation. The collection was made primarily from 30 to 40 feet of limestone exposed on the foreshore south of the cove, but may also contain some specimens collected from the cove itself.
