Stratigraphy comments: Fish fauna is very similar to Aptian Turga and Semen localities, but Chernovskie Kopi is considered to be slightly older by paleoentomologists, so a Barremian age is assigned. Latest Jurassic or Jurassic/Cretaceous boundary ages in the literature are most likely incorrect.
