Lithology and environment
Primary lithology: "shale"
Secondary lithology: sandstone
Lithology description: From Martin, 1926: "Zone B" : Shale with several fossil bands containing Trigonia doroschini, etc 50 ft. Concealed. "Zone A": Shale with several fossil beds each 10 to 25 inches thick and packed with fossils; Trigonia doroschini, T. devexa, etc, 30 ft. Concealed. From Detterman and Hartsock, 1966: "The heterogenous assemblage of rocks assigned to the Bowser Formation includes massive units of cliffforming graywacke-type sandstone and pebble-cobble conglomerate, thin-bedded, poorly consolidated shale, and massive siltstone. The character is further confused by rapid facies changes."
