Lithology and environment
Primary lithology:shelly/skeletal,gray "limestone"
Secondary lithology: calcareous "shale"
Lithology description: "...grey to dark grey bioclastic to biomicritic limestone with calcareous shale intercalations...characterized mostly by unsorted bioclast-supported and micrite-supported bioclastic and biomicritic limestones. The biogenic detritus is completely unsorted. Some intercalations of sorted clast-supported bioclstic limestone indicate episodic intensive sorting at depths of up to several tens of metres. They may represent storm deposits. In the uppermost parts of the Ludlow sequence there are limestones with dismicrites which might indicate a shallowing of the environment and even peritidal depositional conditions."
Environment:marine indet.
