Stratigraphy comments: Arzani et al. 2014: El fósil afloraba a 2,5 m por debajo de la superficie actual, en sedimentos correspondientes al Miembro Guerrero de la Formación Luján (Fidalgo et al., 1973) (para una discusión sobre la evolución histórica y vigencia de la no- menclatura estratigráfica aplicable a la cuenca del río Luján véase Blasi et al., 2009; Toledo, 2011), asignables al Pleistoceno Tardío (Tonni et al., 2003b).
