Lithology and environment
Primary lithology:shelly/skeletal "carbonate"
Includes fossils?Y
Lithology description: "Shells commonly occur in swell-lags, which means concentration without long-distance transport."
Environment:marine indet.
Geology comments: "...calm, open marine, microtidal, shallow, commonly swept by storms, transitional to a barrier or interbarrier system in shoreface region...blue-green alga...micritized shell fragments...The general environment seems to suggest BA 3 to 2 [but certain elements present here, such as Clorinda, are known to extend deeper]. Thus a BA 1 to 5 assignment might be indicated."
