Lithology description: reddish micaceous sandstone grading upward to fine-grained fossiliferous sandstone and siltstone..... The shell beds yielding the brachiopods described in this study are confined to the upper part of the Eusebio Ayala Formation where they are interbedded with iron-rich levels (Fig. 2).
Environment:shallow subtidal indet.
Geology comments: Vertical burrows referred to Skolithos by Godoy Ciguel et al. (1987) are very abundant suggesting lower intertidal-shallow subtidal depositional settings.
