AGE: Burdigalian, on the basis of macrofaunal composition; direct age established by extrapolation of Sr-isotope dating by enterer. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From very base of Castilletes Formation, in lower member; 66 m above Jimol/Castilletes contact. | |||||
