Lithology description: The lithology of unit 62 consists of dark gray, greenish gray, and reddish/maroon, moderately fissile shale beds containing concretionary gray to greenish gray argillaceous limestone, locally with dense but thin accumulations of molluscan shell fragments. Small flecks of organic matter and tiny carbonized plant fragments are also present within the shale intervals.
