Stratigraphy comments: The Sengoku Formation has been correlated with the upper Barremian by freshwater molluscan fossils including Trigonioides and Plicatounio (Hase, 1960; Ota, 1960; Matsumoto et al., 1982; Kozai et al., 2005). The radiometric age of this formation has not been dated yet.
