Taxonomic list comments:Thorne Quarry is just above Leota Quarry, and both are in the Willow Creek section in the central part of the basin near Ouray: see Prothero and Swisher 1992 said by Peterson 1931c to be 400' above base of "horizon C," so his "D. uintensis" type from 250' above base of "horizon C" is from a different locality |
