Stratigraphy comments: "Although the exact locality and age of the specimen is unknown, bedrock along the Elbow River in this area was included in the upper Scollard Formation by Lerbekmo and Sweet (2000). Since the upper Scollard Formation is separated from the overlying Porcupine Hills Formation by an extensive mid-Paleocene hiatus in the Calgary area, the specimen would be no younger than the early part of the middle Paleocene."
