Lithology and environment
Primary lithology: siltstone
Includes fossils?Y
Lithology description: organic rich clay deposits covered by layers of sand and conglomerates
Environment:fluvial-lacustrine indet.
Geology comments: All these deposits correspond to standing water bodies, suddenly invaded by sand and gravel during successive flood episodes. Analysis of the flora indicates a humid tropical climate, and a landscape of marshy wooded savanna in an alluvial plain (Laurent et al., 2010).
