Environment:fissure fill
Geology comments: Emys orbicularis indicates the presence of a permanent, low energy body of water with ample aquatic vegetation. The other species indicate a moist terrestrial habitat nearby (e.g., Rana temporaria and Natrix cf. Natrix natrix) that perhaps gave way to a somewhat dryer terrestrial situation (e.g., Bufo bufo and Lacerta sp.).
Taphonomy
Modes of preservation:body
Size of fossils:macrofossils,mesofossils
Fragmentation:occasional
Collection methods and comments
Collection methods:field collection
Reason for describing collection:biostratigraphic analysis
Taxonomic list comments:the faunal assemblage indicates the change from a cold to warm phase at the end of the Tiglian.
