Stratigraphy
Formation:Navas de Estena
Stratigraphic resolution:formation
Stratigraphy comments: Dobrotivian Stage, but possibly above G. teretiusculus zone: therefore possibly Lower Caradoc age. Regarding both Neseuretus tristani Shale and Los Rasos Sandstone: not sure if each facies given own formation name, or if these are synonymous

PJW: Los Rasos is a member in the Lower Dobrotivian portion of the Navas de Estena/Navatrasierra formation. This probably is above that. Dobrotivian probably extends into lower Sandbian.
Lithology and environment
Primary lithology:concretionary,ferruginous,shelly/skeletal lithified argillaceous,calcareous "shale"
Secondary lithology: lithified sandstone

Environment:offshore
Taphonomy
