Formation:Schnoll Member:Guggen
Local section:Adnet Grosser Langmoos Quarry Local bed:2b
Local order:bottom to top
Stratigraphic resolution:bed
Stratigraphy comments: Limestone bed 2b (co-called Enzesfeld Limestone) forms uppermost part of the Guggen Member an it is capped by ferruginous Marmorea crust
Lithology and environment
Primary lithology:condensed,ferruginous,glauconitic,shelly/skeletal,red or brown lithified packstone
Includes fossils?Y
Lithology description: Red glauconitic condensed facies. Microfacies: echinoderm-foram biomicrite with gastropods (wacke- to packstone). Intercalated hardgrounds may consist of brownish-yellow phosphatic sediment or of dark Fe/Mn oxides.
Environment:deep subtidal ramp
Glacial or sequence phase:lowstand systems tract
Geology comments: Sediment starvation may have been caused by current activity combined with strongly reduced input of carbonate mud due to the widespread drowning during the Middle Hettangian
