Includes fossils? | Y |
Lithology description: red, grey and greenish limestone bioclastic limestones with brachiopods, crinoids, sponge spicules | |
Environment: | deep subtidal ramp |
Glacial or sequence phase: | transgressive systems tract |
Geology comments: At the boundary of Calliphyllum (Planorbis) and Liasicus Zone, late LST and transgresive system tract conditions are supposed. Onlap of the Schnoll Formation at the slope as a lowstand edge. Poorly oxygenated, nutrient-rich bottom waters fostered dense sponge populations. |
