Collection method comments: Krolopp and myself savaged this material in the summer of 1973. 'During the course of very intensive quarrying, mining engineer Mrs Kralik collected antilope remains (horncores, parts of tooth rows, fragments of limb bones) from a cleft filled with red clay, which she presented to the Hungarian Natural History Museum. We paid a visit to the site on the receipt of the material and succeeded in obtaining for sedimentation a portion some kilograms in weight of an enormous block of red clay from the northwestern corner of the quarry.' |
