Lithology and environment
Lithology description: 'The red clay sediment deposited in a cave formed by a cleft running northwest to southeast direction was blasted in 1971. At the time of palaeontological collections, in 1969 and 1970, the upper part of the profile, 10m high and 5-6m wide, was made up of yellowish sediment closed downwards by a calcite shelf, below which reddish brown sediment was found. The material was collected from 9 arbitrarily delimited (20-30cm wide) strata.' |
Taphonomy
Size of fossils: | macrofossils,mesofossils |
Collection methods and comments
Collection methods: | field collection |
Reason for describing collection: | biostratigraphic analysis |
Collection method comments: The material was collected from 9 arbitrarily delimited (20-30cm wide) strata. Analysis by layers has not been carried out so far. The faunal list is primarily from layers 2 and 3. |
