Stratigraphy
Formation:Aouinet Ouenine III
Stratigraphic resolution:bed
Stratigraphy comments: Formation said to be "Frasnian s.l.". Top of formation contains nodular limestone with conodonts that indicate Frasnian-Famennian transition. This sample interpreted as upper Frasnian, on basis of occurrence of Uniconus livnensis and Alternatus sp. in overlying sediments.

Primary lithology:deformed bedding,burrows,ferruginous sandstone
Secondary lithology: claystone
Includes fossils?Y
Lithology description: Formation as a whole: "sandstone beds interbedded with siltstones and claystone levels...about 60 m thick" This sample "occurs in a ferruginous sandstone" See also geology comments.
Environment:marine indet.
Geology comments: "Characteristic 'flyschoid' textures with load casts, burrow casts, microripples, convolute laminations and common Bifungites reflect a deeper prodeltaic to shelf environment."
