Stratigraphy
Formation: | Aouinet Ouenine III
Stratigraphic resolution: | bed
Stratigraphy comments: Formation said to be "Frasnian s.l.". Top of formation contains nodular limestone with conodonts that indicate Frasnian-Famennian transition. This sample interpreted as upper Frasnian, on basis of occurrence of Uniconus livnensis and Alternatus sp. in overlying sediments. |

Primary lithology: | deformed bedding,burrows,ferruginous sandstone |
Secondary lithology: | claystone |
Includes fossils? | Y |
Lithology description: Formation as a whole: "sandstone beds interbedded with siltstones and claystone levels...about 60 m thick" This sample "occurs in a ferruginous sandstone" See also geology comments.
Environment: | marine indet. |
