Lithology and environment
Primary lithology: claystone
Secondary lithology: siltstone
Lithology description: "A strongly fractured sequence of flysch-like sediments, with prevailing siltstones and claystones. Fossiliferous layers mostly belong to the shale facies of a flysch character and pronounced rhythms of cm-order. The rhythms mostly show positive gradation: the base is usually represented by a fairly coarse greywacke component; the higher part consists of siltstones to pelites. Abundant organic remains are usually concentrated in thin dark organic rich laminae in the upper part of the sequence."
Environment:offshore
