Primary lithology:coarse lithified packstone

Geology comments: The Misfah Formation belongs to the Hawasina Complex, which represents a relict of the former Southern Tethyan Ocean. Blocks of the original Misfah Formation are now embedded within a 30-50 cm thick calcareous debris flow (megabreccia). The megabreccia is of Early Jurassic age.
